Support dignity, literacy & well-being in our communities.

What We Do

Founded in 2009, Grassroot Givers has been making the connection between those in the Capital Region who lack basic essentials for daily life—housewares, clothing, personal care items, books and more—and those who have these like-new resources to share.

Books for every child

Grassroot Givers aims to spark a love for books in children and adults across the Capital Region. We accept donations of like-new books and put them back into our community through programs such as Little Free Library and more.

Support for every family

By redistributing goods and resources already in our community, we provide access to clothing and essential household items that improve quality of life for individuals and families experiencing poverty.

What We Do

By working with local nonprofits also serving our community, we make sure that 100% of the usable gifts we receive end up with a family that needs them.
