What is a Month of Simple Giving?
Since 2009, donors, volunteers, local nonprofits, and community businesses have collecting money, clothing, and household goods to fill critical needs in our community.
Each year, over $30,000 worth of goods are shared with families who need them most right here in the Capital Region.
Together, we are building a community where everyone has access to basic essentials that improve their quality of life.
How can I get involved?
Form a group.
Form a group with your friends, family, or coworkers. Together you'll be raising money, collecting essentials, and participating in one of our many scheduled giving events.
Raise $100.
We're asking each group to support the work we do by raising at least $100. This will help to fund Grassroot Givers' programs—from sharing clothing and housewares with families, to supporting literacy by increasing access to books in our community.

Sign up for one of our many scheduled Giving Projects! Together, your group will be coordinating collection drives to assemble these much-needed items.

Show us how you're participating.
Show off your amazing community involvement by sending us pictures or videos of you and your group working on your Giving Project. We’ll show you and your team off on our website and socials!
Submit your pictures to info@grassrootgivers.org within five days of your event. Or, let us know when your event will be and we’ll have a Grassroot Givers’ team member take pictures for you!
